When the INS deports a down-and-out Italian-American actor, Gianni DiCarlo (Nicholas Turturro), his mother (Talia Shire), dad, agent and ex-wife are worried sick over his disappearance. Stranded in a dangerous Mexican terrain, he is forced to find his way back to Hollywood.
