Bishop Christopher Coyne (Auxiliary Bishop, Archdiocese of Indianapolis) engages Father Patrick Beidelman (Directory of Liturgy, Archdiocese of Liturgy) in a 4 part series on the third edition of the Roman Missal. Parishes throughout the entire English-speaking world will begin using this edition on the First Sunday of Advent (27 November 2011). The third edition of the Roman Missal features significant translation revisions of the universal Latin text. Bishop Coyne and Father Beidelman discuss the meaning of liturgical terms such as Roman Missal together with a rationale for this revision and its history. Other podcasts in this series examine specific changes such as the people's response to the celebrant, "And with your spirit" along with other word changes such as "consubstantial" and phrasing in the Eucharistic Prayers.
