MR HAPPY is an award winng original black comic parable written, produced and directed by Michael Patrick O’Hara. Original character designs by Aidan Cooper O’Hara. Background designs and character animation directed by Luke Gustafson. Voiced by Pete Cugno
& Mary Margaret O’Hara. Service Produced by Smiley Guy Studios “ What drew me to create Mr Happy is the obsession with ‘fear based news’ that the media seems to push at the masses over and over. Mr Happy, the crazed doomsayer with bug-eyed passion shares his
similar obsession that ‘The End Is Near’ , with every uninterested pedestrian that he meets in the street. As Franklin D. Roosevelt so aptly put it: “We have nothing to fear, but fear itself.” Mr Happy is just that, and takes a black comic angle on how fear
is shoved in our face continually and what happens to those who obsess on it. Ultimately, Mr Happy gets us laughing at fear, often the best way to defuse and help us deal with any problem in life." – Michael P O’Hara AWARDS & NOMINATIONS: MR HAPPY was awarded
a Professional Jury Award for Best Animation in the 2009 Babelgum Online Film Festival. It was nominated as an Official Short Film Selection at Frances Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2006; placed 2nd in the New Media Online Competition at Croatia's
Zagreb Animafest 2006; was nominated at Vancouver's Vidfest 2006; screened at the 2006 Just For Laughs Bravo!FACT special invitation screening in Montreal & screened at Rendezvous With Madness 2006 . It also has aired on Bravo!FACT presents on BRAVO TV : July

Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View shines new light on the unfolding drama of human history and our own critical age. It also suggests a new possibility for reuniting religion and science, soul and intellect, ancient wisdom and modern reason in the quest to understand the past and create the future. This excerpt, "Two Suitors: A Parable" comes from Part II of this book, and is read by Philip Levine.
Cosmos & Psyche: Intimations of a New World View
Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche (1844–1900) was a nineteenth-century German philosopher. He wrote critical texts on religion, morality, contemporary culture, philosophy and science, using a distinctive German language style and displaying a fondness for aphorism. Nietzsche's influence remains substantial within and beyond philosophy, notably in existentialism and postmodernism.
Thus Spake Zarathustra (Also sprach Zarathustra), is a work composed in four parts between 1883 and 1885. Much of the work deals with ideas such as the "eternal recurrence of the same", the parable on the "death of God", and the "prophecy" of the Overman, which were first introduced in The Gay Science. Described by Nietzsche himself as "the deepest ever written", the book is a dense and esoteric treatise on philosophy and morality, featuring as protagonist a fictionalized Zarathustra. A central irony of the text is that the style of the Bible is used by Nietzsche to present ideas of his which fundamentally oppose Judaeo-Christian morality and tradition. (Summary from Wikipedia)

Here's a Mark Twain story that's very unlike those he became famous for, but when I read it back in Catholic high school, it left a deep impression. It concerns the deeply religious residents of a small village in Austria during the late sixteenth century, and what happened to several of them when a strange man began to visit their insulated homeland. There's little of Twain's humor here; this is a horror story, a parable. . . and a warning. (Summary by Ted Delorme)

At REALITY the whole Bible is our creed. Therefore, any effort to define what we believe necessitates a desire to emphasize the whole Word of God as the source of our core beliefs.
It's unrealistic to think that any individual, man-made system of beliefs is completely error free or, conversely, without merit at all. It is therefore our sincere desire to teach the Bible; be true to its original languages; and be respectful to the historical context, the context of each passage, and the accepted and normal use of language (i.e. being able to discern the difference between a parable and a proverb, a prophecy and an historical account, etc.) We trust that this will enable us to understand the intended meaning and truth that is to be found in God's inspired word.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His promised return in power and glory.
We believe that people are made in the image of God, but our sin has marred that image and separated us from fellowship with Him. We believe that Jesus death and resurrection is the only means of restoring the fellowship that was lost.
We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit, that He is personal, and dwells continually in the lives of those that have put their faith in Christ. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today and should be exercised according to Scriptural guidelines. We believe that love is more important than any spiritual gift, and without love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless. We reject the over-emphasis of spiritual gifts, and experiential signs and wonders to the exclusion of Biblical teaching and sound doctrine.
We hold God's word as our supreme authority in all that we do at REALITY. God's word is our standard, and contains everything that pertains to life and godliness. We believe that all of the 66 books of the Bible are inspired by God, are relevant to our daily lives, and transcend all culture. God's word is taught chapter by chapter with the goal of seeing the whole counsel of God. We are affiliated with the Calvary Chapel movement because of our shared vision for ministry and understanding of doctrine.
