Baptisé dans l'Église catholique sous le patronage de François d'Assise et depuis peu Chrétien orthodoxe, il a reçu le nom de Païssy en heureuse mémoire de saint Païssy Velitchkovsky.

Il a maintenant deux poumons spirituels.

Il s'est donné pour mission dans l'Église orthodoxe d'aujourd'hui, à travers le site de l'Amitié Spirituelle - http://lamitiespirituelle.typepad.com - qu'il a créé en 2005, de mettre son art en conformité avec ce désir de Notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ : «Qu'ils soient Un», objet de sa prière et de ses recommandations aux Apôtres, peu avant son sacrifice sur la Croix. 

L'Ora et Labora détermine sa vie et l'Ut Unum sint sa prière, son désir, son espérance et sa foi.

C'est pourquoi, les textes enregistrés en Audio MP3 par Païssy VIRELY qui débuteront en septembre 2009 auront pour sources les trésors de la spiritualités et de la liturgie orthodoxe et catholique notamment puisé dans la Philocalie, cet "amour de la beauté" mais également de la Patristique, textes si souvent savoureux et nourrissant pour la vie spirituelle que nous ont donné les Pères de l'Église. 

Le souhait de Païssy VIRELY et d'œuvrer par la beauté de la parole de Dieu et de ses saints à faire entendre et donc connaître au plus grand nombre par le moyen moderne de l'Internet, les sommes spirituelles seules à mêmes de nous offrir une réponse d'espérance et de résurrection aux questions les plus essentielles de l'homme contemporain. 

Plus que tout, par sa voix qu’il met au service de Dieu, il nourri le vœu si fort dans son cœur de se rapprocher de nos frères catholiques pour s'unir à eux dans un effort de charité et préparer ainsi, bien humblement, la réunion de tous les frères séparés, pour le jour voulu par Dieu et comme il le voudra.
