This weekly podcast is based on the book by the same name, found on http://www.healthymindfitbody.com that explores both the nutritional and psychological sides of weight loss, fitness, overall health and longevity.
The three pillars for achieving your perfect weight through the mind/body connection (found in the free bonus audio on our website) serve as the basis for our discussions of food, exercise, and dieting.
Essentially, by attaining the correct knowledge about how food types can affect your bodyfat percentage, you'll be able to make much better choices that serve your long-term interests. By exploring your inner continent--your subconscious mind--you'll gain a degree of self-knowledge that will assist in ending self-conflict (being at war with yourself). And by looking at your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a new more effective and efficient way, you'll be able to heighten your motivation to create the optimal you!

The Balance Arts Center is where professionals (such as musical, medical, educational, and legal) and community members (people of all ages and from all walks of life) come to increase their awareness in action through the teaching and application of the Alexander Technique.
Students learn to use their mind/body connection in an immediate, effective, and practical way by dropping habits of thinking and moving that interfere with their best coordination and ease. They improve their general coordination and use in specific tasks (sports, dancing, ergonomics, vocal production) as well as address concerns such as backaches; headaches; injury and surgery recovery; Temporal Mandibular Joint Syndrome, Repetitive Stress Injuries; hip, knee and foot pain; and eye strain.
